Breakfast, dining, bar, everything good.
Do not expect 5 stars rooms, you are in the middle of a desert, so better drive on to one of the huge hotels in Vegas if you can not handle that.

Hotel was fine. Great location and friendly staff. If you need Wi-Fi, I would recommend you find another place.

This is not an inexpensive hotel . You definitely pay for the location. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. Pretty basic. We did get a king size room and it was pretty spacious. Room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable.
We did have an issue with the AC not working in our room. They sent maintenance pretty quickly and he could not resolve. He had them move us and brought us the key. The new room had a working AC that did the job well.
The big issue we had was the Wi-Fi! It virtually does not exist unless you are in the lobby. VERY difficult for someone who works on the road and needs a good connection and high speed. If that is you, don't stay here.
No in room coffee or microwave. It does have a sizable mini fridge with a small freezer compartment.
The lack of Wi-Fi will keep us from staying here again.

The staff could not have been nicer. From reception to the general store everyone one was helpful and pleasant. We are in the Saloon and we're so surprised at the vegan and vegetarian options for us. It never happens. The food was wonderful. The staff we met, Violet, Laura and Paul were incredible. They also were helpful in assisting us with choices of what sites to see and their favorites. They were spot on. Could not have asked for a better group of people. We will be back ❤️. Forgot to mention, our room was nice and big and had a fridge. Very clean.

Perfect Stay!

If you request the Roadrunner rooms then at night you can walk out of your room go up a small hill and enjoy the dark sky. You can see all sorts of planets and stars. I would definitely stay here again!

It’s right by Mosaic Canyon and Mesquite sand dunes. Toll House Restaurant, the Saloon and Stovepipe Wells General Store are all part of the “ complex”. It’s nice to come back after a day of exploring Death Valley and be able to walk to the restaurant.
