Unbelievable location, modern hotel in a remote area

We stayed for 2 nights in a Premium View Suite. The room was spacious, well equipped and located on the end of the building. The view was amazing. The buffet breakfast was best at 0700 when the crowds were manageable. The hotel staff were friendly, the room service efficient and the location unrivalled. We did the Valley Loop Road which was a great experience, however in our opinion completely unsuited to relatively low clearance sedans. We ended up hiring a Jeep for the trip and it was expensive but perfect. Think 2025 model vehicle with 700 miles on the odometer. The hotel provides parking which appears to be secure.

Good stay

Great Location. If you stay at the hotel ask for a third floor room away from the elevator and ice machine. If yo stay in a cabin make sure it’s a ‘front row’ cabin as some are set back. Our third floor room was clean. The balcony is narrow but has 4 chairs and 2 small round tables. All rooms have balconies and face the ‘monuments’. We spent every evening on the balcony watching the sunset. The advantage of staying at the view is the proximity to the Wildcat Trail and the 17 scenic drive. Both start from the parking lot. The room rate reflects the location. They tack on a $20 a night amenity charge. You get a continental breakfast, wifi and supposedly a $20 credit for the gift shop but the $20 is only good on the $$$$$ crafts and not on tshirts and such. Breakfast okay. Scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, yogurt. We stayed 3 nights. Huge turnover as it seems most people stay one night. Lots of kids running down hallways. No smoking but one cretin was smoking a cigar on balcony next to us one night. You also run a gauntlet of nicotine addicts on your way through the parking lot. We had dinner at the restaurant once. Husband had the fried chicken dinner and i had the green chile quesadilla with chicken. Both good. Amigo cafe in Kayenta has good food. You can also get sandwiches and snacks at Bashas grocery store in Kayenta. All in all good stay. Would give 4 1/2 stars (circles)

Cabins were neat, but bring your own pillow...

Obviously, the 'view' is spectacular. Cabin was very cute. kitchen was nice to have, but didn't have any cups/utensils, etc, thankfully we brought our own. Check-in lady was nice and accommodating. Beware, the pillows are the worst I can ever remember having. Had a very hard time sleeping. The bed wasn't awesome either... The bunk beds were a hit with the kids, but the metal ladder was very loud.

Stay in one of the cabins. It's a bucket list experience.

We stayed in one of the premium cabins on March 14th. We arrived at 9:00 pm. I didn't think we'd see anything from our cabin that night because it was so dark, but the full moon illuminated the wispy clouds and silhouetted the buttes in way that was mystical, bigger than life, breath taking, and spiritual. The next morning, we set our alarm to watch the sunrise behind the buttes. I can't describe properly how beautiful, holy, and powerful Monument Valley is. I will say the staff is so kind, accommodating, and we received excellent customer service. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had king bed for us and bunkroom for the kids. The cabin did not have a tv (which was fine with us), but did have a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. After the sunrise we did the Monument Valley drive which you access from the property and explored. It's a family memory I will cherish forever. I recommend this property to anyone, although those with mobility issues may find the cabin's a little challenging because there are stairs. 5 stars. Bucket list experience in monument valley.

Great room with great views. The room was clean and everything was in good condition. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate for our family. The attached gift shop and visitor center were a bonus. We will recommend The View to hotel to others.
