A yearly off season visit for me as it is a day's drive from home and a nice change of scenery. Lots of nearby things to do and restaurants though Glacier Park is still closed this early in the season.

The only reason I didn’t give Meadow Lake a 5 is because of sound issues in our condo. We rented out a space on the 1st floor in condo bldg 2 . We stayed at the end of winter when the temps fell below freezing almost every night which meant the heat went on constantly. I loved that the condo had several thermostat’s which allowed different members of our party to adjust their bedrooms to their comfort. Sadly, the different heating units within our condo are LOUD and often woke us throughout the night. We were very fortunate to not have a party rent the unit above us because we learned how insanely thin the ceiling is. A work crew came through to repair a bathtub upstairs and a day or two later we assume it was housekeeping that came thru to get the unit ready for the next guest. Both times it sounded like a stampede of elephants were overhead. So my advice is to rent something on the 2nd floor. There are no elevators, but you won’t have to deal with listening to your overhead neighbors the whole time. Other than that, the place was fantastic. I was sad to learn that the spa services we had booked 6 weeks before arrival had been moved to the the multidisciplinary space in fitness center while the spa was under construction. The prices weren’t discounted which I don’t feel is appropriate. But thankfully the services we did receive from Lisa & Yvette were good. The fitness center is a decent size and has a sauna & steam room with toiletries in the locker rooms and towels to take a shower. The family center has tons of games & puzzles you can borrow and bring back to your unit. Several pools & hot tubs on site. The property is enormous! Our unit had almost everything we needed as far as kitchen utensils & electronics. There was no can opener and no Keurig but there was a drip coffee maker. They deliver firewood right to your door. The condo was very clean and well maintained. What’s nice is once you’ve parked your car at your condo, you don’t have to face rain or snow while carrying groceries, luggage, etc… since everything is covered from your car, sidewalk to condo steps, stairwell, and over your door. The resort location was perfect: short drive to the airport, short drive to Glacier National park (we got to see the Northern Lights over Lake McDonald), short drive to Whitefish Ski Resort. We really enjoyed our stay!

So at checkin we were blindsided by a $15 daily resort fee. It was in the confirmation email after we checked but never saw it before but we have stayed at many of these condo timeshare units and never been charged this. The military rate we book is the rate. When asked what it included:she said coffee? Pool, sauna? I asked about the shuttle to the skiing was told had to book 24 hours before and it left at 8. Didn’t sound like a shuttle to us. We spoke to others and they said that wasn’t right it went multiple times. There is a whitefish town shuttle and a shuttle around whitefish ski area. There is a ski lounge room which one can leave their skis at. We did hear there has been thefts from there so bring locks. For three days there was no coffee cups so I guess my $15 daily fee for coffee was incorrect? I didn’t understand why cups couldn’t be acquired from the lodge or store next door immediately not three days later? Also we met three of the lounge employees and one of them stated that the room closed when the shuttle left at 4. The mountain lifts are open til 4:30 pm and once you go up it, it takes a few minutes to go down. But he literally watched videos all day and then wanted us gone at 4, the other two guys never gave us a time. We are on vacation. Our first day we went to the “sauna” it was maybe 70 degrees in there not working. There are no phones in the building we could find or employees in there to ask ( again why the $15 charge). Also the outdoor hot tub was not hot and when we tried the wet sauna the fire alarms were going off. That building was where you had massages. I choose not to partake since I didn’t feel it was relaxing at all there. Also it was adult only and there were people that were not over 18 there. Hence why was this being charge $15 a day? We have been to beautiful resort pools and not charged this. Lastly, we were put in the bottom floor and the people above us had two children that would run laps at all hours of the night and morning. We did love the view of the golf course with the visiting deer nightly, and the fresh snow. The employees at the rental game area were fantastic and super helpful. The restaurant staff were very nice also. The location is good to hit glacier and skiing at whitefish.

Enjoyed our Time

The condo we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. There were lots of deer grazing outside our window which our granddaughter got excited about. The full kitchen and dining area was spacious to have our family members over for dinner. Very nice experience!
