Overall, we had a nice stay here. The place is clean and the AC worked well and the bathroom was spacious. Only thing is, we were in the "annex" part, next door to the main hotel and it was uphill climb which we were not aware of when we booked. Dragging the luggage uphill was a little rough, but we did it. Ample parking too. About a mile walk from downtown Bar Harbor, but we walked it just fine. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Stayed in the “duplex” type rooms around the side of the motel. Rooms were clean and spacious. We appreciated the complimentary grab and go breakfast and snacks. Great location to Acadia park and walking distance to shops and cafes. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at The Seasider for five nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The location was excellent, the room was clean and great water pressure. Hot water was much appreciated after a very cold morning at Cadillac Mountain watching the sunrise. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The location works great for access to Cadillac Mountain as well as the rest of Acadia National Park.

Cigarette Smoke in Nonsmoking Rooms

Room was nice, clean, and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, the cigarette smoke was ridiculous to the point where I resorted to leaving the bathroom exhaust fan running nonstop which did help clear out most of the cigarette smoke within the main living space. I regularly reserve rooms through the Booking.com app where Seasider Motel claims they provide “designated smoking” areas.

Our room was in the annex located on a slight hill just past the main building. It was clean and quiet, but we didn’t realize housekeeping wouldn’t come unless you hung sign on doorknob requesting service. Complimentary breakfast included pastries, fruit, cereal, coffee/tea and juices. Granola bars were always available in lobby. Inn was reasonably priced for an off-season visit and close to Acadia National Park. It was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the town and waterfront. But after hiking in the park all day, at night we would usually drive to the EV charger located halfway between inn and village, leave the car charging and walk the rest of the way. Parking in town wasn’t any easier off-season.
