We stayed for two nights for our visit to Big Bend National Park. This was our first visit to the area and Big Bend Station was a good choice for us. The host was very nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The room was spacious and clean with adequate Wi-Fi. There were a few choices to eat very close to the motel but most were located 10-15 minutes away in the ghost town area of Terlingua. A very interesting town for sure with lots of history. The drive to the park is not bad depending on which area you are visiting. Overall Big Bend Station worked for us.

Exactly what I have come to expect from an ARA Managed property. They have security patrols starting at 9pm each night (you read into that) Tub / Shower drains VERY SLOW. The toilet base shifted from its original position, so it wobbled, and the seat was loose. Bathroom overall is cruise ship small. The room has no desk or table. The chair in the room was so uncomfortable it was unusable. The mattress was as hard as rock. No closet and no hangers on bar over Microwave. The small refrigerator was functional. Walls were thin enough to hear TV and conversations from next room. No drawers and only 4 garment hooks on the wall at 6.5 feet up the wall. Towels given to you at check-in and replaced IF YOU exchange them at the office. There was a tiny coffee pot but no coffee or condiments. AC blows directly on the bed only 3 feet away. One electric outlet and two USB ports, one on each bedside lamp. There is a gas station and a (very expensive) grocery nearby. No breakfast included. The only thing you get is a great location to Big Bend and reasonably clean room.

We stayed at Big Bend Station for three nights while visiting Big Bend National Park. The room was decorated in a trendy/artsy Southwestern motif that was attractive and welcoming. The room wasn’t large, but plenty big enough for the two of us, especially since we were at the Park all day every day. The bathroom was sufficient and there was plenty of hot water. The location is GREAT - thirty minutes from the National Park, and 10 minutes or so away from a number of very good local restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was super quiet every night. I highly recommend this lodging, especially for Big Bend National Park visitors. The location can’t be beat!

Don't tent camp here. We tent camped during a busy time. This place had availability for a reason. No services for tents. An impenetrable square of gravel with a couple tables is all that's offered. No water (tried to charge me extra) and you pay for showers. Place is disorganized and run down. Avoid if you can.

Keep shopping! I would not visit this motel again. There was about a cup of "mystery water" that lingered in the tub throughout our visit. We tried to determine if it came up when we brushed our teeth or when we flushed the toilet. We never could tell, it was just there. The toilet overflowed. The hook on the back of the bathroom door fell off. The tall baseboard in front of the tub had not been cleaned. On the other hand, the air conditioner was excellent, sheets and towels seemed clean and we appreciated the updated decor in the main room and sink area. It is time to make the toilet and tub function reliably.
