All staff members we encountered were super-friendly, from the check-in lady, the superb Susan behind the bar to the ones we passed in the hall. Our meal [Sicilian Pizza] was excellent and arrived promptly. Location is in the heart of Banff, no need for us to drive. Room was clean and the updated bathroom was lovely and bright. Add in the very reasonable cost and we will be back.

The Ptarmigan Inn is located on the main street in Banff, Alberta. We had a nice room on an upper floor and there was free parking in the hotel underground garage. The hotel was close to many shops and restaurants. Also there was a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel called Meatball.

Says parking is included but didn’t have parking for us. Instead we had to park on the street for 5 dollars an hour. Costing us almost a quarter of our room fee. Don’t stay if you have a car. Front staff desk was rude. Dated rooms as well. I would suggest avoiding.

Nicely located, need updating, but ok stay, shuttle to the Sunshine Ski Resort

Hotel is nicely located in downtown Banff, close to everything there. The hotel itself is pretty worn out, needs updating definitely. Room was an ok size. Water pressure is not very good and for staying on the first floor - it took a while to get hot water (no idea why it took so long to warm it up). The lights in the room are very dull, which is good for the night, but not really for the rest of the day. Other than that - pretty ok for staying in Banff for that price. If renovated, that would be a very cool property. Outside is better looking than the inside for now. The shuttle bus to the Banff Sunshine Ski resorts stops right here at the front door. Which is nice!
