Also, the air conditioning barely worked. The elevator kept breaking down—stopped working multiple times during our stay. Really frustrating experience. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

The best location

Both had balconies with, of course, views of the wonderful mountains all around, and the corner had a view of the Bow River too. The location is perfect: 2 minute walk to the river, with easy walks in both directions, a supermarket over the road, along with the shops and galleries of Bear Street and Banff Avenue. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, but there is also a breakfast menu with lovely choices, but nothing basic! The spa are is really nice and was never very busy when we visited.

Ok visit. Will be better after renovations are complete

However the renovations are looking very good and give the hotel a nice new feel. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and eating down town. As always the eucalyptus steam shower and hot tub are always enjoyable.

Nice!

The rooms were recently updated, clean and comfortable. Loved having a balcony but I wish there was seating available for the balcony. The pool and sauna was clean and I liked the variety of temperatures. The fitness center isn't very private or large but it has everything you need. The location is amazing in relation to the main road of Banff. We enjoyed going for many many walks during our stay.

Great for families visiting Banff

Booked quite far in advance and the hotel was very helpful and responsive. Lovely swimming pool and spa. Helpful staff, great buffet breakfast and having the ski rental in the lobby was so useful and ski bus right outside. We loved the hotel and would highly recommend!
