Arrogant receptionist (lady), system issues, worst cancellation / upgrade policies

Worst hotel stay experience. Staff was too rude as if they were owing the hotel. Mentioned different price over phone and then charged 100$ extra for the same room booked, because they knew that last minute we cannot go anywhere else with family. They had this technical system issues because of which reservation details /prices were not received because of which we got misled for prices. No AC and even windows were stuck that couldn't open and had to spend whole night restless. Felt like we were in Sauna (hot room). When asked to change room they gave option to either pay extra or different floors /rooms for family stay causing all stress and inconvenience.

Read the fine print and after you read this ask some questions

Whatever you do read all the fine print. Upon checking in we discovered bathroom facilities are shared and down the hall. There is a sink in the room . Oh, for $125 more you can upgrade to get an included one. No soundproofing as advertised. Flatscreen TV is about 18 or 19". NO A/C = ROOM WAS A SAUNA. During check-in we were told our room was over pub which isn't open for next 2 nights. IT WAS OPEN! Bed was smaller than a queen which is unacceptable for 2 people in my opinion.

Location, location, location, and super comfy beds!

Stayed at the Athabasca hotel twice in the last few months. Rooms are one of the cleanest I've stayed in and the beds are very comfortable. Go down to O'Sheas and see Kat for one of the best Caesars (drink, not salad) Murray and the front office staff are friendly and ready to help.

Would NOT recommend this hotel. They have music and an extremely loud bass. I tried to make a noise complaint to the front reception at midnight after 2 hours of noise. They stated they don’t close the bar/ music til 2am. If you want to sleep DO NOT stay here…

We absolutely loved our room. We were in the honeymoon suite #200, for our 30th anniversary. It was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping came everyday and did a thorough clean. We were there 4 days, which left lots of time to enjoy the hundred year old hotel. Even the lack of an elevator didn’t bother us. We will definitely go back…
