Double check you charges from this hotel

While checking out I realized the hotel charged me 3 more times on my credit card on file. I verified with the woman at the front desk that I had already prepaid and these pending charges would fall off. Well 3 days late they didn’t and charged me again! I called they couldn’t even find my reservation and now are crediting me the charge back to my card after 3 phone calls. They said they “changed systems” and it’s happening with capital one and chase customers as well as many others who paid in full before Jan. They only have two trained people to look at their old system to check if people had already paid in full. After many long hours and annoying phone calls I’m being given back my money falsely charged without an apology or any sense of better checking for their future customers. Horrible costumer service. Double check your charges!

Room for improvement

I don’t blame the housekeeper didn’t clean the shower pan properly because the shower head is like 200cm height, I cant even get my feet cleaned. We also didn’t get bottle water in our room? The AC didn’t seem working and room is not cooling. I can hear footsteps from people walking upstairs and toilet flashing. During the morning kids were screaming on the hallway. There’s only a half shower door so floor was flooded and really cold when showering, water is warm not hot as well. They served Holiday inn style breakfast that costs $20 per person, it may be better to get McDonald or Starbucks. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. I do feel like the hotel tried to make our stay pleasant, but I think room needs to be updated and housekeeping needs to improve.

Meh.

Too-soft bed - not sure if it was old and broken down, but it sunk when we sat on the edge and when we laid down to sleep.
No extra pillows, one thin extra blanket. (Yes, we could have called, but at this pr$ce point, we shouldn’t have to. And we were tired!
Bottom sheet (polyester?!) that doesn’t fully fit the mattress so pulls up loose once you lie down.
Very loud HVAC - we turned it off, hope we don’t freeze or broil. We can still hear everyone else’s running.
Dated furnishings - would fit well in a room half the pr$ce of this one.
Here’s a weird one - huge room/suite but one wastebasket and one bar of soap for 2 bathrooms + shower & tub.
But for families, it seems to have lots to offer, plenty of fun amenities.
Staff was very friendly and the very long line at check in moved pretty quickly.
I just imagined getting more for our money, staying outside the park. Next time, we’ll bite the bullet and stay at a national park lodge - at least we’ll have a great location.

Amazing stay

The weather was freezing when we arrived so it was perfect walking into a lovely warm room with lights on and relaxing music playing on the tv. Fairy lights twinkling all around and a roaring fire in the main building. Credit was given to use in the games room which was a nice touch. The pool was lovely and the jacuzzi, just bliss. We had breakfast included which was very nice and set us up for the day. Coffee making facilities in the room and free coffee and tea at reception. Would love to come back but stay for longer next time and explore the area more. Great place

We arrived late on a very cold night, the fireplace and free coffee in the lobby were a welcome treat, and the room was lovely and warm on arrival; the relaxing music playing in the room was a lovely touch.
The hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, as well as a games room and a bar, so there is plenty to do on site. Altogether it was a lovely stay, and we left wishing we were spending more time there. We'll definitely be back.
