We just spent a long weekend at Salt Cottages and absolutely everything about it was INCREDIBLE. Dreamy cottages, beautiful grounds, charming design/decor, thoughtful touches throughout the property including the yard games, adorable clubhouse, cozy sitting areas, great little restaurant with perfect offerings for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages. Our family of four enjoyed the hot tub, s’mores at night, and the variety of board games offered in the communal sitting area. Everything we could need was within a few steps from the front porch of our cottage. We also appreciated the ocean views, the relaxing atmosphere, amazing proximity to Acadia National Park entrance and to downtown Bar Harbor. We can’t wait to come back next season! Cutest place ever! Food, lodging, atmosphere, coffee, service was all amazing. Room service can be delivered to your cabin. The firepit at night was perfect. The hot tub was excellent. Room was soooo cute! Pillows and bed were excellent. Room was clean. Great toiletries provided!

Simply magical…attention to every detail including function and design in the cottages and grounds. Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, hospitality, and quality accommodations. Delight in nightly swims in the large heated pool and soaks in the 2 hot tubs while peaceful music wafts over the central, community grounds. Has views of the bay and just down the road from Acadia National Park main entrance and Bar Harbor’s main square with charming shops and restaurants. I would recommend Rosalie’s pizza and pasta as well as Thrive’s healthy food/acai/smoothies restaurant. Indulge in Maine’s wild blueberry everything- soda, chocolates, popcorn, pancakes, ice cream… loved, loved, loved!

Salt Cottages was everything we could have wanted and more! We decided to stay here for our honeymoon and it was the best decision we could have made. From the second we checked in, we felt comfortable and well cared for. Everyone who works at SCs is kind, accommodating, and seems to genuinely love what they do. Our cottage was cozy the perfect size and was just right for two people for a week. It was clean, well stocked, and well decorated. The bathroom was huge and well lit. The bed is the comfiest bed we have ever slept in. There are wonderful touches in every corner. The amenities are great, as well. The pool and hot tubs are clean and comfortable. The nightly s'mores bar was also a hit. We are already planning on returning for our anniversary!

This place exceed expectations. At check in we had a friendly reception, welcomed with a fabulous drink and were given some great recommendations of places to visit in town. The cottage was absolutely adorable, they didn't skimp out on anything. We went with a girls trip and were all very comfortable. The only negative thing I can say at all is that the bathroom door (loovered door, which I'm sure is great for humidity) did not allow for much privacy. This probably wouldn't be as much of an issue with a couple or family. Other than that the cottage was perfect. The grounds and lobby are amazing. They had great food as well. We arrived a little late and tired and ended up having dinner there around the fire which was perfect. Also some grabbed coffee and breakfast snacks there (although there is also a coffee maker in the cottage). I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the pool. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
