Construction sis ongoing in the breakfast area, but the motel has provided a temporary area for minimal breakfast foods. Rooms are nicely decorated and updated. Very clean as always. Would stay there again.

Excellent Hotel - Read On

Since I did not get a survey I am putting this on Trip Advisor. What I wrote was specific to our situation, but I want the reader to know the following: I have been going to this Hampton for 20 years. I could not more highly recommend this Hotel. The staff is fantastic. The General Manager is excellent. Free breakfasts are wonderful.
Below is what I had I initially wrote:
I want to highly commend the staff for how they handled our non-traditional request. We were coming to visit for Thanksgiving and needed a decent amount of refrigerator space. Not only did the staff immediately check on the availability of space, they were incredibly accommodating to our needs, as we had to retrieve our food several times in preparing for Thanksgiving. Specifically, Leslie was the essential anchor for the whole operation, Jodie was instrumental in efficiently carrying out specifications, and Mason played a helpful role, as well. Of note, on a previous visit, Jodie was extremely helpful when things did not go as we had hoped. Thank you, again!!

Leslie, at the front desk, was especially kind and helpful. I have a mobility issue, and she made sure that I got everything to my room, and to my car, safely.
The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! They offer free parking too.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank you!

Honest and Clean!

Published Date: Oct, 5, 2024 Travel Date: Sep, 1, 2024 Rating: 5 After researching the area, this looked like the best option for us and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice!
Everything was VERY clean, the room was nice, and the bed comfortable. The hotel was undergoing renovations but we knew that and the work did not affect our stay.
Breakfast was typical Hampton, it was kept well stocked, items that should be hot were hot, and the area was clean.
When we checked in the front desk clerks were very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for a Mexican restaurant.
In the morning we took our stuff to the car and I tried to checkout on the app, but got a message saying checkout through the app was unavailable. As I went back in to checkout the clerk said “we have it, I was just calling your room.” I had no idea what she was talking about, but my husband had dropped his wallet. It was found by one of the guys working on the renovations who turned it in to the front desk, with everything intact. KUDOS to the Hampton staff and the renovation crew for their honesty, especially the one who found the wallet and desk clerk for trying to track us down. I failed to get either of their names but I hope the desk clerk finds the coin that will make her rich.
Next time our travels take us near Front Royal, we will definitely stay here again.

Hampton Inn quality, we would stay here again

We chose to stay here because Hampton Inn was the most reliable accommodations in the area. We researched many other hotels in the vicinity of Luray, VA and weren't impressed.
Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Friendly, professional staff. The common areas - the lobby, breakfast area and lounge were impeccable. Breakfast was very good, with different choices each day. The second day in particular, breakfast was excellent with sliced smoked sausages, scrambled eggs and home fried potatoes. Sausage patties and western omelettes were served the first day. Waffles, bread, pastries, danishes, cold cereal, juice etc. available every day. Coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7.
We encountered a few minor issues during our stay. The pool is closed and there are ongoing renovations during the day, which we knew when we made our reservations. One night the fire alarm throughout the building went off after midnight. We acknowledge that these alarms are in place for our safety. I overheard someone say it was caused by a guest smoking in a stairwell. This is a no smoking facility. One day we were in the elevator and the doors wouldn't open when we reached the first floor. We took the elevator to another floor and the door opened. Later that day we saw a notice on the faulty elevator (there are two) and early the next morning a technician was fixing the problem.
Because of these minor problems, I cannot give this facility 5 stars for this stay. It would not be fair to other hotels that have earned 5 stars in my reviews. However, we were very pleased and would not hesitate to stay here again.
