Hotel was located on top of a hill providing great views of the waterfront. Free breakfast and spacious rooms with balcony. Saw deer in the parking lot! Not walking distance to central shopping.

Stay here. It's worth the money.

My husband is picky about eating at hotels. The food was individually wrapped and made fresh every day. We even took some snacks for the hikes. Coffee, tea and water were available all day. The jacuzzi was clean and well kept. Towels were provided in the pool. The manager was often available for questions. There was a shuttle to downtown. I don't know if that's year round. We were able to see the sunrise from our room.

Beware of cancelation fee! Stay away.

I went to cancel three days prior and was told I was outside of the cancelation window and would have to pay a one-night fee or lose all of the points and certificates I used to book the room. I chose the one-night fee and was then informed that the fee would be $558.00. Beware of the cancelation policy and vague policy. I felt over $500 was excessive. I know the hotel did not lose any money because the room was booked after I canceled.

But the breakfast is the best of the three Hamptons we have stayed at within the past week. Fresh croissants muffins pastries and more omelettes you name it they have it. I would come back again.

Bar Harbor Breakfast!

Never had a breakfast this next level at a Hampton Inn in Bar Harbor. Two options for omelettes?! A wide array of pastries?! A variety of coffees?! Amazing!
