I can’t wait to return to this delightful and charming Manor House, centrally located near the harbor. A lovely proprietor name Chris was invaluable in making my visit exceptional! His knowledge, trip recommendations and support were indispensable. Not to mention the daily aroma of the gourmet breakfasts drifting upward to my little niche on the 3rd floor…great way to start my day. I came alone for a respite and came away knowing I would be okay!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Chris was extremely helpful + friendly upon arrival, we got the room that we desired, and felt it was extremely clean. Breakfast was included every morning + tasty, we felt it was both cozy yet, modern, and it was in perfect walking distance to everything that we wanted to do in Bar Harbor: restaurants, shopping, etc. We also found it to be very close to Acadia which was convenient! Would recommend this place to anyone!

My husband and I LOVED staying here for our honeymoon🤍 The room was so clean, spacious, charming, and we loved the fireplace. The decor both in the rooms and in the common areas was beautiful. The ambiance was 1000/10. Just staying in the room and relaxing was an activity in of itself. Everything that you would want to do in Bar Harbor is walking distance from the inn. Breakfast and tea time treats were all homemade, and outstanding (my personal favorite was the orange blondie and the chocolate cake with almond frosting) The innkeeper, Chris, is so kind and welcoming. He gave us recommendations of restaurants to go to (we came in late October so many places were closed), and every single place he recommended was excellent. We felt so comfortable here and had a very hard time leaving this beautiful place….we will be back soon, and I can’t wait 🤍 I would give Sand Bar Cottage more than 5 stars if I could.

The accommodations and grounds were clean and nice. Hard to do for a house on the historic register. The host was fantastic and fun. The location couldn’t be better. Easy walk to the bars and restaurants. We also had an easy walk to the bike rental place since parking wasn’t available. The breakfasts were tasty and unique. Would definitely stay here again.

The service provided by the inkeeper was top notch. He was personable, friendly, and made everyone feel at home. In addition, there was a chef cooking fresh homemade breakfast every morning and desserts provided at night with a drink as well. The rooms were nice and it was very conveniently located to downtown bar harbor and all the restaurants/shops. Highly recommend!
